The first 14 hours of my son’s admission were spent holding in the ED while waiting for an inpatient bed, but I understand its that time of year where MANY children have respiratory issues warranting admission. The nurses, doctors, RT’s, and everyone in between were amazing. His providers kept me well informed and I was involved in his care. All tests and procedures were explained, as were the results. If my son has any other respiratory issues (fingers crossed he won’t) I will bring him back in a heartbeat. I truly had the ... read more

MD commented "just because your son was not breathing for a couple seconds, I don't see a reason for you to take him in. if he is not breathing and is turning blue that's when u should take him in." I did explain to the MD before she state the comment above that "if, I did not pat his back and press his upper abdominal continuously, he would have stopped breathing and a tragic would have happened." If anything happen in the future to my son due to breathing issues, I "will" sue Valley children's hospital due to the fact that... read more

The E.R is wack. Not enough room so the family or support you have has to stay out. Triage didnt check my granddaughter temperature. I donate all the time they need to make the E.R waiting room bigger. This is just sad

ER is terrible! I brought my 2 year old in for a fever. They took her temp there it was 101.8 The dr told me that 101.8 isn’t alarming for a 2 year old. 🙄 They said she had symptoms of an ear infection and might have an ear infection but “not sure” 🤷🏻‍♀️ She’s been sick over a week and already seen her regular PCP; this was a follow up from that because symptoms had gotten worse and ER wanted to discharge her and have me “follow up with her PCP” if she wasn’t feeling better tomorrow mind you I’m already taking off work to... read more

I will never go to Valley Children’s for audiology! Not only does my child have to retake the test because “the doctor didn’t agree with the results” but we have to pay $457 for the previous test (which I’ve had an audio test done at an ENT facility and paid $75 for the same test). I simply can not afford to have another test there and my child needs another audio test. Oh, and the visit to see the doctor for the results is billed separately so now I have to pay for that one too. This is unfair and I will not go back.
