Very careless with budget. Spent all that $$ on remodeling and add ons. Now they want to relocate to another location. https://www.reno.va.gov/RENO/emergency/index.asp Glad I’m not in Reno anymore. Las Vegas isn’t any better
the only issue I have is that I'm a full time worker, and when I make an appointment I expect to be seen in a reasonable amount of time! as I write this my doctor is 1 1/2 hours late for my appointment!! this is unacceptable and causes too much loss of work!!
I've been seen at the Long Beach VA, the L.A. regional office VA, and Reno's VA. Reno is by far the worst. From hostile doctors who give half-hearted psychicals, to constant problems and LACK of medication, to missing a BRAIN TUMOR on a two year old MRI. I absolutely HATE that I cant afford health care from somewhere else. This hospital is AWFUL.
I've, for the the most part, had very positive experiences with VA Sierra Nevada Health Care System and look forward to having more of same now that I'm moving back to Reno. I've always received polite, courteous, dignified and relatively fast treatment there. People greet me with 'Hi' when walking down a corridor - and if I have that 'deer in the headlight' look on my face, I'm asked if they can help me find something. great place for Band-Aids on serious health issues ... don't expect them to actually listen or fix anything. people that actually care and listen are few and far between
