The system needs a fix, communications among departments is non existant, PCP has no time to follow-up with other departmental actions, Myhealthevet needs a lot of fixes AND NOBODY ADVOCATES FOR THE unknowing vet. Being proactive is very task oriented and no advocacy exists. They hear but little is done, good people with their hands tied. A veteran ought to be the objective input. No recourse for their mistakes.
One of the top ten VA facilities nationally in my opinion. Want to be fair in rating them, as I have been treated very well here for medical appointments thus far. I have seen a couple of others, but Salt Lake City's VA is very impressive. Yes, lots of negative light on the VA and in most cases, it is definitely warranted. For this location, I feel it is not. For those who have a more negative opinion, guess it depends on the persons point of view and what their mood is at that moment.
I have been very well taken care of while going through my surgeries. Dr Ellis is great, along with his student doctors.
Very disappointed in the staff here entrusted to care for our nation's vets. Very bad experience 4/17/17
Always the best. Two years of successful cancer treatments. Just had an emergency situation, bad flu symptoms even tho had the shot. Fever, racing heart, short of breath. They got on me right away even tho busy. Fluids , blood samples right away. Different special doctors checking on me. Next morning had a team of five doctors that got me leveled out and on.my way in two days. Am very grateful for those special nurses and doctors. Thank you again. : )
My father had open heart surgery and the heart surgeon did such an amazing job. All the staff members I met were very accommodating and so kind. I would also like to thank our nurse Jessica who works in the SICU department she was so kind to my father and took such good care of him. she answered any question we had. I wish I knew Jessica's last name so her supervisor would know what a great nurse she is.
In the past I have had good experience with the VA hospitals in Phoenix and Salt Lake. I just want to say I believe that I just had the very best emergency care anywhere at the VA hospital in Salt Lake. The doctors and nurses are highly competent and professional. Especially the nurses who helped me at the ICU unit. The care they provided was just amazing. Both of my procedures went well and I was released today. Thanks to everyone! Bill Lockwood
This is going out to the VA at dialysis for taking care of my father Max L Hansen for 6 years he loved you guys and I thank you from the bottom of my heart and my family for what you did for him God bless and simplify enjoy all the pizza I brought you you all deserve it
