A Bad Disney Impersonation of Napa Other than some specialty wines like a Gamay Rouge, there really is not a whole lot of value here. Not quite sure why this place has received so much love but it must be because no one has actually visited a decent winery in Napa.Yes the grounds are spacious and pretty. Yes the tasting room is expansive with lots of gifts. Yes they have some interesting wines or blends. Not a whole lot of positive. So here come the negative. The place is always crowded and we are talking tour bus crowded wh... read more

Terrible wine, rude staff V. Sattui Winery has really gone down hill recently while their prices have become quite high. Their wine has become barely palatable over the last several years, while other Napa wineries have consistently made great wine. The staff is rude and the not helpful. There really are much nicer wineries to spend you cash. The place is a looser.

V. Sattui Is My Favorite Napa Valley Winery! V. Sattui has my FAVORITE wines in the Napa Valley! Love their Gamay Rouge, Muscat, Riesling and Madeira. I didn't care much for their overpriced barbecue food at all, but I do like the large selection of cheese from their deli. It's a must-stop for my Napa Valley wine tasting trips!

worth the price V. Sattui is, by far, my favorite winery. They have the most delicious mustards, cheeses & pasta salads. You have to wine taste, it's only $5.. buy a case and it's free! I recommend the Sattui Family Red & White. For dessert, try the Muscat or Madeira (especially if you like Hennessy). And the Gamay Rouge Rose' is fabulous. Great place for a picnic with the family or just a day with the girls.

Best Wines and Picnics in the napa valley We have been v-sattui members since we first fell in love 7 years ago while sharing blue cheese and crackers over a glass of muscat in this lovely winery's picnic area. We have never found another muscat that stands up and we love the dry riesling and cabernet. The Angelica, named after the owner's daughter, is a combination of muscat and 19 year old brandy and has won best fortified wine awards annually. The winery itself won top winery in california for 2006! When we first went, it... read more

What a place The wine is world class and they have the best area for picnics around. Worth checking them out. We bought some futures here years back and that was our favorite wine almost ever. Great place to take out of towners as well as good friends. Excellent deli area, you go and pick stuff out for a picnic, then get some wine and you are set. It does get busy so get there early to have a great afternoon. Bring a blanket so you can sit on the grass if all the tables are full.

pricey but great We went here to save money, but still ended up spending a pretty penny. Still, they have a great selection of deli meats, a little skimpy on the bread, a LOT of cheeses, and, of course, plenty of wine. It's best to take what you want, and go have a picnic in their picnic area just outside the store. It's pricey, but compared to some of the restaurants up in Napa, this was a great idea. Food was good, too.

V. Sattui Winery wonderful winery with complimentary tastings. One of the best lunch spots for picnic lunches I have visited in the Napa region. Staff was pleasant and well informed. Beautiful setting and area. Lucious food!
