My friend I went into this facility today because she was really sick and they made her wait a long time and watched other people go before her. Then you find out if you have government assistance they will not take you in right away no matter how severe the situation is. They profile you and judge you. If you have government assistance you’re more likely to die than go in on time. They did profile you and won’t take care of you first if you have government healthcare.
I have been to this emergency room several times but because I have government assistance they always make me wait two hours or more no matter how severe my situation is. Today was the icing on the cake. I waited a long time and watched other people go in and out and then I decided forget it they really don’t care so I don’t care. Then another lady which also has government assistance was sitting in the waiting room longer than me. Surgeon was able to diagnose my daughter the first time she saw her vs previous visit to other university hospital. Staff was friendly and pediatric nurse during surgery was amazing.
We took my daughter to the ER last night for pneumonia. I cannot say enough about the staff there. They went above and beyond to help my daughter, myself and my husband. Even the security guard went out of his way to find REAL coffee (private stash). Our nurse Becky, the respiratory therapist, PA, MD, and administrative staff truly made us feel comfortable and cared for. I'm an RN myself and so I have high expectations. The staff here exceeded them. Thank you so much for all you did for us!
