RecommendedMy dog has had two successful tumor removals in the last five years and has had wonderful routine care there since 2006. My favorite thing about this practice is that they treat my dog as though they know what he's like outside the office. He has vet anxiety and has to be sedated for appointments. He cries to leave while he's there, but all of the staff and vets (especially his buddy, Laura) act as if they know the Leroy we see at home.
Dr. Amy Bergin and her assistant (sorry - I forgot her name) were absolutely wonderful with my fearful dog Morgan. They were both very patient and both understood she needed her space. Dr Amy was very thorough with the exam. 5 plus stars and we highly recommend them!
I have had the privilege of working with Dr Desir and I can’t say enough about how wonderful her was. His knowledge, compassion and “floorside” manner with my beloved dog was nothing short of perfection.
The staff is so caring, they tried to save our precious rabbit, Smudge, when he died, they sent the most beautiful sympathy card which they all signed💔💕
Dr. Lucas and her staff are truly dedicated to the animals. They are amazing people who work tirelessly to provide excellent care to our companion animals. We have been going to Upstate for our personal parrots and fosters/rescues for years.
This is the very best Veterinarian practice I could imagine! Dr.Lucas is both brilliant and kind and all of my pets adore her and her highly competent kind staff! They have saved the lives of many of my pets and are always willing to try to help out for emergencies. They take care of a large number of charity cases and wildlife. Love them!!! (I am a physician and wouldn’t go anywhere else!)
The team at Upstate Animal Medical Center is truly the best. They always provided my dog Sam with the absolute best care. We switched from another vet that treated Sam poorly because of her breed (Rottweiler). Everyone at Upstate always welcomed her with a smile. They allowed me to hold her as opposed to the muzzle (even when she'd growl at thermometer time) and always made sure she felt comfortable. She never had any concerns about going to the vet. The entire staff is absolutely amazing!!
Dr. Joy has always been wonderful for our rats. She’s seen 8 of them now and has always given them the attention they need and deserve. She always makes recommendations based on their quality of life and what makes sense for our family. She performed a very difficult surgery on one of our guys and he was lucky to live another nine months because of her.
