RecommendedI am so grateful for UAMC. Thanks to Dr. Lucas, my Maya’s life has been prolonged several times when she’s been on the brink of death with lung problems. The extra time with her means so much. I bring all my animal family members here and they are always given the very best care. I love the whole team here. Laura in particular always remembers details about my rats and my dogs and goes above and beyond for me. I appreciate you guys more than you know!
i think its crazy that i was told i can never go there again all because wehad a disagreement and was even told i couldnt even have someone else bring her there

If I could rate Upstate Animal Medical Center a 10 - I definitely would!!! A huge shout out and thank you to Dr. Joy Lucas and her fantastic staff at Upstate Animal Medical Center! Buster Zanella, my 9 yr old chihuahua just had his teeth cleaned and his full check up! It’s a bit stressful to have his teeth done because he does go under anesthesia. Highly recommend Joy Lucas for your Avian needs! She is amazing with my Cameroon African Grey .... wonderful "bedside manner" ... and really an excellent DVM! Thank you Joy, so happy that I am lucky enough to have a skilled Avian vet so close by!! Keahilo likes you too, even though he growls.
After moving locally we decided to try Upstate Animal Medical Center for our two dogs. The room was very homey, the tech was amazing and was very patient with my rescue dog who is extremely timid when it comes to the vet. He even let her take his pulse and examine him which isn’t something he’s allowed in the past. Then the vet, Dr Lucas knocked on the door and everything went south. They care for both my dogs. They love going there and I’m comforted in knowing the great care they give.
