I have asthma and was having trouble breathing. As a result I went to the East UPMC ER. My dad just had his ankle fused in Williamsport, PA. They sent him home the next day, 160 miles, immobile (his wife drove) with no way of getting into his 3rd story condo, on opiates with no discharge instructions on breathing exercises, spirometer or PNA. He had to sit on his butt on each step and scoot himself up to get into his home. Classic.
