I was there for 3 day after my surgery, it was great experience, the Drs and the Nurses especially Amanda were excellent, I definitely would recommend to my friends,
If I could give a negative star, I would. While experiencing the worst headache of my life, I was admitted to this hospital for observation. During my stay, some staff were kind, but my head nurse treated me in a manner that was nothing less than abusive. One of her actions involving my medication was intentional, reckless and put me in danger. NO patient should EVER be yelled at, threatened or ridiculed by staff when seeking medical care. just now New Terrible experience…the lady who answers the phone upfront needs to be fired she picks up and hangs up on sick patients and deals with a attitude and it was a call made at 9:10 am on Feb 4th and feb 3rd 9 am shift whoever the young ladies were upfront was also very unprofessional saying inappropriate comments about sick patients in front of the er. I spent 3 days in the hospital,first 24 in ICU. What a great experience!! Best nurses,aids,an caring all around. So impressed! Then 6th floor,an here again,,,best care ever! Everyone was wonderful. Loved all the care I received. Almost like a Minnie spa day! Thank You All.! My only complaint was, food was always cold an the servings were way to small.
I delivered my 3rd baby at UPMC Harrisburg 2 weeks ago. When I was about 25 weeks I was hospitalized for 4 days with pneumonia and I had 3 broken ribs. When I arrived at the hospital to have my baby at 38 weeks I was very happy that I wound up with the same nurse that cared for me while I had pneumonia. Pamela was amazing.
