You get what you pay for honestly. One of the cheapest place you'll find in the area✅ looks like it's never had a renovation, no amenities, they paint over everything (holes, cracks, peeling paint), and we had a roach and water bug problem despite keeping the place super clean and having traps. Lastly, I got my bike stolen there😅. I know plenty people who stayed here for years so it's really up to personal preference!
Constantly needing maintenance but at least they come to fix stuff in a timely manner. Not the best area and old buildings. The lease auto renews for a whole year not a month to month basis and requires a 60 day notice of cancellation... while the owner only requires 14 days notice to raise rent on you. Mine was at 56 days left and I asked to cancel and despite any efforts they refused everything. HORRIBLE lease. Screws over the tenant and they had their lawyers write them up in the owners favor.
The apartment is affordable and you get what you paid for. When I applied for the apartment, we had to take a compatibility quiz and I put that I don’t drink or smoke and ask for roommates who don’t smoke and would keep the living space and kitchen clean, but only one of them would clean and the other keep having her friends over really late at night and being loud I couldn’t sleep, I’m not talking about 11pm late but 1am late😑.
