Don't waste your time – University Realty has been a disappointment. Our apartment was a good deal (600 bucks a month, utilities included, 2 blocks from campus) but we didn't know we would be paying for having to put up with this company. Just a few stunning examples: 1. They took a week to fix our bathtub which was completely clogged and told us not to use the toilet either (the only ones in the house) without compensating us 2. Horrible Company, Management, and Units. Do not waste your time, money, and sanity with UT Realty. – Do yourself a favor and do not even think about leasing from this company. They do not respond to complaints, left us without air conditioning for a week and a half in June, and stole our deposit upon moving out with no reason to back it. Thiefs Liars and Cheats – I think my title says it all. Get yourself a lawyer and prepare for one of the worst experiences you may ever have. It is not possible to fathom the level of incompetence Univershitty Realty portrays. Phone calls are not returned, promises are never kept, and maitenence issues linger. Worst Experience of My Life – Well, when I first moved into my place I was thrilled to find a decent sized west campus apartment for 700/month. It wasnt falling apart (that much), it was in a great area, and for something that size, it was a steal! Or so I thought...that is until things started breaking. Beware: Unprofessional Property Management – We hired this company to manage our rental properties. Although the staff are nice people, they always seemed to be too busy and disorganized. Maintenance people weren't always available for repairs, bookkeeping was horrible, long delays to get anything done. The owner/broker is overconfident in his abilities. Keep searching, select a different company to manage your properties. Life is too short to spend your time begging people to do their job.
Don't even bother with them! – After a year long lauwsuit with the landlord, me and my roommates FINALLY got our deposit back. I have never in my life seen such unprofessional employees. After breaking several laws (such as with holding a deposit more than 60 days) and not returning phone calls, a court's decision finally favored us and got us back our money. Impossible – University Realty is IMPOSSIBLE. I have never dealt with people more money hungry and selfish in my life. It took them five months to get rid of these disgusting rodents in our home and that was only after we got a laywer and almost broke contract. I would never in my life recommend this company. There are a million better ones out there. Trust me!
Not worth the great property – University Realty is impossible to deal with. A month after moving in they have not resolved the asbestos in our condo, the gaping hole in our ceiling. they have not given us our garage door opener, they have not started to pay for water or garbage or the other utilities that our lease says they will pay for.
