Broke foot. Started swelling, pain and did I . mention I broke it two places. UVA did not put a cast on it for 2 weeks. It is swelling, tingling ands bad pain. Called UVA to get some help. I could not get an appointment until the next day. I can not eat or sleep. I thought UVA as a great hospital. But after this situation I will be going somewhere besides University of Virginia .
I could never begin to rate the level of care that I received at Uva. By far the BEST hospital I have ever been to. The nurses and staff are friendly, compassionate and all about making sure the patient is getting the best care. My surgeon Dr. Carlos Tache-Leon and his team... are indescribable! There are no words to explain how well they took care of me and repaired a very critical procedure that was done by another facility! I will never go to another hospital if I ever need anything done! The compassion and professionalism of the staff was explemary during my mother-in-law's recent stay there. The staff on 3 Central, 5 Central, and the MICU provided excellent care. I was so impressed by how well she and our family were taken care of even after her sad death during her stay. The nurses ensured that she always received her medication on time and she was comfortable up until the end. The PCT'S and PCA'S were wonderful also!

I have received care for breast cancer and my doctors the technologist and nurses were beyond wonderful. I also received care from the vascular center for an aneurysm. Again the care was exceptional and outstanding. I have seen the cardiologist and find them knowledgeable and the care again outstanding. I would and have recommended UVA medical physicians and center to my family and friends.
