I was brushed aside by an unprofessional surgeon, charged the incorrect amount (which took over a month to sort out), denied for financial assistance as a 28 year old making 36,000 a year, and when I wanted compensation for the trouble I went through with the overcharged bill I was hung up on once and told there was nothing that could be done for me when I called back
I couldn't afford any medicine. they paid over $2000 for my meds. great nurses. great hospital
my sister was iver look because somebody did not know how to the job in the emergency room. she has been here since 5 and still has not seen a Dr. they state her level of care is at 3. my sister has 8 doctors wow 3 really!!! doea no good making a complaint to patient relations that lady is eude in rushes you out the door.
Nothing but positive experiences at both the Westwood campus and the center at 107th and nall
I loved University of Kansas Medical Hospital to everyone. They have the best Doctors, Nurses, etc than any other hospital that I know of. I would recommend everyone to go there. One thing for sure if you go you will know what is wrong it may take awhile but the will figure it out. Best Hospital
Daughter has stage 4 gastric cancer that has metastasized. Scheduled for EGD scope at 4:30 pm today at KU Medical Center to find out why bilirubin so high. (Related to liver). Cant do her chemo until she gets this scope. Cancelled due to two emergency EGDs that came in Puhlease ... bad weather and docs wanted to leave. Delaying chemo because they want to leave is costing her days in her life. KU says best cancer care? Really??? Go to MD Anderson. I ll sign my name too! Mary Loesch
I would recommend avoiding this company. The customer service I received from every department I interacted with was absolutely horrendous. From the doctor to imaging to billing. No one will help with with questions or requests. But they are happy to bill you $1,300 after not administering any treatment. If you are unfortunately already a patient especially avoid Dr Jean-Philippe Darche. He is either incompetent and/or had no interest in helping me with my shoulder injury.
I see a variety of specialists and have been admitted to the hospital numerous times. The nursing staff is knowledgeable, caring and advocates for patients. KU is a nationally recognized & accredited Pulmonary Hypertension Center. Pulmonary Hypertension (PH) is a rare disease and there are few hospitals equipped with physicians who know how to diagnose and treat PH. It is great to have a PH Center nearby.
University of Kansas Medical Center has a 4.2 star rating with 507 reviews.
University of Kansas Medical Center is closed now. It will open on Monday at 8:00 a.m.
