Dr. Bayon is the most skilled, kind, thoughtful and thorough doctor I've ever had, and believe me when I tell you I've seen my share of doctors. He, along with Dr. Dillon, have been lifesavers to me (literally). Most all of the staff has been very accommodating. They are great at scheduling my appointments in succession with each other since I travel to get here. After being discouraged about my chronic pain in my low back for the last 3 years, I can finally draw an easy breath. I was told that my pain can be managed through Physical Therapy and some time. I was given a glimmer of hope, something I was lacking. I highly recommend University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics for all of your needs.
This place is amazing. The NICU is the best in the country and the care our son gets is 2nd to none. They make us all feel like family and everyone on the medical team is so helpful and knowledable. God bless UIHC.
My fiance had brain surgery for a benign tumor. A seven-hour surgery and I got calls all the time letting me know how things were going . Everyone there is so wonderful to us.
I went to see Dr. Oya for back pain that I have had for years and has just gotten worse to the point I want something done. I was told that I'm fat and need to loose weight. I am 5'2" and weigh 166. I was not happy. I asked if I loose weight will pain go away. To that was told no. I said ok so what is the plan of action. To that he said I have to live with the pain. I am not happy with that. I also feel like he just rolled out of bed and showed up. Very unprofessional in appearance.
What a great place! It's so large and spread out, but everyone is so courteous at offering assistance! The staff and volunteers are A+. There's lots of places to grab a drink or snack, and the dining room has fabulous food and such a variety! I highly recommend this hospital!
My wife had a tumor removed from her pituitary gland on friday. The doctor came back in on Easter to take my wife back into surgery for a piece the first mri missed. 4 days late we are home recovering. I am so happy we went to the university of iowa hospital, Dr. Greenlee and his staff were great and extremely thorough. Every nurse in the neurology center was extremely helpful and on top of everything.
