Efficient, knowledable and personable! I had surgery yesterday and even though I was very apprehehensive, the staff put me at ease. I have a heart condition that placed me at a high risk. I had to have an ovarian mass removed and so I didn't know if it was cancer or not until the procedure was over. I was very impressed with anesthesia!!! Today is my husbands 72nd birthday. But he is celebrating his 1st anniversary of a second chance on life. A year ago today while celebrating his birthday at an Iowa casino he collapsed and was rushed to the University's hospital with ascending and descending aortic dissection. Thanks to the expertise of Drs. Bashir an Sharpe and the entire staff, Frank is here to celebrate another birthday. I cannot praise the hospital and all the employees for saving his life. My son was diagnosed with a disorder called digeorge syndrome. From that disorder he all was born with CHD, VSD, type b interrupted aortic arch, pulmonary hypertension in his left lung, solo right kidney, and bilateral club foot. I don't know what I would do without this hospital! Everyone is so kind and explains things how you can understand. I wouldn't go to any other hospital.
My son has clubfoot and I'm so happy to have him in such good hands!!!
The people were awesome. The nurses aide went above and beyond.
