I first went to University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics in 2015 to figure out what was wrong I was losing my hearing and periodically had room spinning dizziness. I also got violently sick and had gone to the ER at least 3 times in the Quad cities. I was diagnosed with Meniers Disease. Over the past two years with medication it had been under control with rare milder episodes. No ER. My hearing severely declined in both ears. On June 12 th I had hearing implant surgery. I was impressed with the quality of care, as always.
My experience at the University Hospital has always been excellent. The staff are so sweet and helpful. Since I'm a retired nurse of 40 years, I can say the nursing staff are efficient and professional. My visits have been timely, parking and directions to various clinics easy. My husband and I are very pleased with our experiences.
Our baby who was born at 27 weeks, 1 day, is now 37 weeks, 2 days gestation, day 71 of life, just had her pda closed yesterday by Dr. Bansal and his pediatric cardiology team and Dr. Ross and his pediatric anesthesiology team. Our surgery was a success, and we never doubted our trust in these teams or the care our baby received. Thank you!
I waited in the ER for 4 hours . Worst place I have ever been. One lady waited from 4:30 til 11:30 . F#@$%#& ridiculous. How is that for a rating.
The University of Iowa Eye Clinic is rated one of the best in the United States. It is well worth the drive!
We have been going to Iowa City for over 14 years now for my son who has JRA which mostly affected his eyes and he has uveitis which affects his pressure in his eyes yesterday he had glaucoma surgery in his left eye. Unbelievable amazing people work in the ambulatory care center especially Jodi such a great nurse! All the people were so nice! Not that I wanted to be ther but they were amazing at making my day not so bad- they were excellent with my 18 year son!
My daughter is an employee at the University of Iowa Hospital and Clinics in the Discharge Pharmacy. She had to have outpatient surgery on June 29th. We came up from Florida to be with her during her recovery. Your facility here is amazing. Every one of your staff is so helpful and friendly. Her CNA Matt was especially amazing. He was very reassuring throughout the entire preop procedure, explaining everything and answering any questions that I asked. Which were alot. I am very happy with the facility and the staff.
