While I cannot complain about their healthcare, Beware of University of Iowa Hospitals and Clinics Billing department and their affiliated predatory lender GreenState Credit Union. Last year my wife had a heart attack and went blind within 4 months of each other. She has multi-organ SLE and a rare condition called Neuromyelitis Optica. Dealing with the billing department has been a nightmare. Their payment plans are inflexible and they will promptly transfer any aged debt to collector named Altran who now hound my disabled w... read more
I had a very positive cancer experience at UIHC and would recommend them for my family. Dr. Bender in Women’s gynecological health was very thorough in explaining what was going to happen during surgery. He & his team have been very kind & patient in answering all my questions before surgery & after during follow ups.
The care I have had has been awesome The nurses in ophthalmology have been great and my Retina Dr along with the nurses I have had after both surgery's My Retina Dr is Dr.Binkley she is wonderful. Love it while waiting to see her she will say hello when walking by the waiting area
