Took my mom to the Emergency room yesterday. To begin with the gentleman at the counter was rude and seemed completely bothered by everyone. He even raised his voice a bit when my mom couldn't lift her arm so he could put her wrist band on. We arrived at around 12:50 p.m. and they finally called her in at 11:45 p.m. An 11 hour wait for a type 1 diabetic who was throwing up non stop, had not eaten since the day before and her blood sugars were almost 400 since we walked in and was very dizzy. The wait is way too long. Surgery is scheduled at 12, wasn't seen till 4. Discharged from a chole, but still in a lot of pain.
