I recently purchased a vehicle from University Auto Center. The day of purchase, a Friday, I drove my truck home (3 hours away). Upon pulling into the driveway the truck started making a knocking sound. I called Riley at University Auto right away and told him what was going on. By Monday, he had spoke with their mechanic and was working on a solution to make it right. By Thursday my truck was on a car carrier on its way back to the dealership. I thought my experience buying my car was great, until I just went to trade it in at another dealer and learned that the carfax disclosed to me at the time of purchase indicates no accidents. Come to find out it has been in an accident. I still have the report, and also the report I just received during the trade. There was a 12 month window from the time the accident reported to when I purchased the vehicle. You were provided a CarFax report at the time of sale which showed no accidents or damage, so at that time we had no reason to believe it was ever involved in an accident. My salesman Mike was very professional and was actually looking out for us. We were looking for a Jeep to tow and he wanted to make sure he sold us exactly the right unit. He was outstanding.
