A spring broke on my garage door over the weekend and Universal was the only company that answered their phone. Tom came out to our house within in an hour and saved us from being trapped in the house all weekend. Tom was fantastic to work with and charged a very fair price (especially for a Saturday morning). I would recommend him to anyone.
My garage door spring cable came unwound, several rollers bent the tracks all up when they came out of the tracks and the door looked twisted beyond repair. I shopped for and found a new door, hardware and closer then contacted Universal Overhead Door company to install the new door. Tom, the owner of UOD asked if I had purchased the new door yet and if not, don't purchase before he checked things out. I must say Tom is what some might say "A craftsman of his trade". Was very impressed of his knowledge in an industry that gets no attention until it breaks. He took the time to explain what happened and how he was going to repair the cable...spring..pulley's so that it won't happen for another 30 years. He also fixed a potential problem on the other side for "cost of part only" (at a discount) If you have a broken garage door..or one that needs adjustment, I highly recommend Tom and his company. Tom is the Garage Door EXPERT... this guy knows his garage doors and does an Amazing job... his prices are reasonable... he's Honest and a PRO... that's what I look for... I let the EXPERT do their Job... he fixed the broken spring on our door... quickly and offered a few extra tune ups for couple of dollars... He's the BEST!!! I Tipped him too... Because he Deserved it... I'd call him for ANY Garage Door Repair... and HIGHLY Recommend you do the same!
My door wouldn't open so I called Universal Overhead Door and Tom came out when he said he would. He reattached the pulley cable, replaced two wheels and made sure the door opened and worked smoothly before leaving. He charged a good price for what needed to be done. I will definitely call them in the future for my garage door repair needs.
Garage door spring broke Dec 30th and Tom fixed it Dec 31st. What more can I say, except that he answers calls on holidays, he is courteous, he did the the repair rapidly, his cost was fair, and he checked/adjusted all the safety features on the garage door before he left.
Tom was very knowledgeable and informative.He came over after hours to assist in getting my car out the garage and the door panels back up. Would recommend him to all who are in need on garage door services.
