Dangerous! Last experience at this hospital was traumatic and outright horrible! Worst staff I ever encountered. Uncaring nurses egotistical belligerent doctors and PA's. Took my daughter in for emergency care. PA told her to "stop crying and toughen up" when I confronted his behavior he went out to the nursing station and started throwing things. I had my 2nd baby at UMMC. I absolutely loved all the staff that helped me labor, deliver & took care of me & my new baby boy after he was born. He was born in July of 2013, after the floor was remodeled. The delivery & post-delivery rooms were beautiful!! Almost as nice as a hotel room. I love this hospital!
The maternity ward was awesome when I was having my son. Their fast actions saved my baby boy he would not be here now if they did not perform the csection when they did so I thank them for that. The er area is a crock of crap. When a friend of mine was admitted for a health issue and all they did everytime he went in which was in and out for a week, they pumped him of drugs and sent him home. Then the last visit they tried waking him up from all the drugs they gave him and he wouldnt so they slammed his head into the bed ra... read more
