Your ER wait times are unacceptable! I'm sure you can do better! I was sent by my PCP, I walked out after sitting waiting for 5 hrs to be seen. Have vowed never to go back. Have been in ERs all over the world, including what would be considered third world countries, and have NEVER had to wait this long. Unacceptable!
UMass Memorial is the best!! Multiple campuses so if one doesn’t have the service you need the other will, both very close to each other! Very accessible from all areas of the city and surrounding area! Can’t say enough good things about UMass!!
Husband has was admitted Sunday Evening, MRIs Xrays, Pump him full of pain Meds, Admitting Dr. NEVER came in to see him. THinking of pulling him out of there and going to Boston
Treat the patients with more care after procedures....they literally knocked out my front tooth during an endoscopy and didnt tell me.....they said everything went fine....I noticed my tooth was gone myself.....I later found it in the bed I was in during recovery....when I asked about it I was told I had bad teeth anyways.....WOW!!!!!!
Worst hospital not just in central Massachusetts but ALL of Massachusetts. Too many experiences to recount but heres the latest....my husband had surgery here on his arm and now that surgery site is infected. Went in at 3 pm to the emergency room and 8 hours later is still in the waiting room! No medication or wound care whatsoever. Lets just say don't ever go to the EMERGENCY ROOM if your in an actual emergency. The ER we have been sitting here for 8 hours and haven’t even gotten into a room to be seen triage and registration in 8 hours absolutely ridiculous!!!
My son was in the nicu for 5 months and the old doctors where horrible! I had to transfer my son to Boston children’s hospital. But now they have new doctors and I heard it’s better. Also the emergency room is horrible.. nurses are rude and dying to go home they might as well get a new job!
my son is almost 8 months old and has been followed by umass for 7 months and has been hospitalized 3 times. Still, nothing has come of it and he still can't gain or at least maintain his weight. Im transferring to Boston with my son hopefully today. The nurses and PCAs for the most part are pretty good. I also had a student once see that I didn't trust what the doctor was saying so he brought me his textbook and read it with me. Not everyone here is bad but the overall treatment definitely needs to be worked on!
