This complaint is for the ubreakifix store in the HAPPY VALLEY location in PHOENIX. I'm so disappointed in the ubreakifix store in Happy Valley! I brought my laptop in because it had an error message upon powering up. I took it in and they said if they can recover anything, they will put it on an external hard drive. I spent hours waiting for a new screen last week. I was sent away twice and on the third time was told that they replaced the screen with the wrong one (no thumb-print security) instead there was a little floating button on the screen that forced the user into 2 extra steps to even open the phone. Anyway, they charged me $90 and they said they would call me later in the week when the correct screen came in. My next visit saw me sent away for another hour. Dealing with Ubreakifix has been quite a frustrating experience. I originally shipped my Google Pixel 3XL to their Stone Oak location. For about three weeks, they did not acknowledge the receipt of the device. Upon contacting the Customer service email address, they kept promising that someone would get back to me. No luck. I would leave 0 stars if I could. Absolutely horrible establishment with the worst customer experience I have had to date. They held on to my device for MONTHS, didn't repair it and actually gave it back to me with more damage than when I dropped it off.
On Sept. 01, 2020, I took my cell phone to be repaired. I was told it would be about 4 hours. They had no information at 5 hours. I recalled the next morning and was told they were waiting on a part and it could be 3 to 5 days. One of the problems was the charging port. They said it could be charged with a charging pad. When I went to pick it up I purchased a Mophie wireless charging pad from them for $75.72, When I got home I tried to find the user manual on the computer. There was no manual. We had informed the customer of the price of repairing her device. $119 for charge port repairs on Samsung galaxy S9's. Instead of a very invasive repair to her otherwise undamaged expensive device, we gave the customer the option to charge wireless using a powerbank that also has wireless charging capability. The price listed on the box is the price we as a store pay for that item we sold the customer. Customer agreed to the price before we swiped her card.
