On 9/2/20 I was sent to Labor and Delivery at UAB Women’s and Infants Center. I was 32 weeks along and my baby was measuring 28 weeks, he was in distress, was at risk of being stillborn, his life was in danger. I needed an emergency c section that very day to save my baby’s life. The nurses, doctors, surgeons and anesthesia team were all absolute professionals. They provided wonderful care to me while prepping me for the c section. They kept me safe throughout this scary even...Continue Reading
My son was born premature on July 12th, he was put on several medications, several ventilators, & given blood several times a day. He lived only 4 days the day of his death he was actually doing much better, it looked like my child was going to pull through and be coming home, that is until he was administered something through his IV and his vitals rapidly began to decline, his mother pleaded for the nurse to do something but he shrugged it off until my son flatlined then he decided to finally do something, they did compres... read more

UAB NICU KILLED MY 4 DAY OLD SON!!!! They were using experimental medicine on him for their financial gain and put him on 3 oxygen machines which were all questionable and completely destroyed my son’s health and chances of ever living a descent life! And when they were done experimenting on him they injected something through his IV which slowly caused his strong heart to stop and then pretended to revive him through chest compressions which they intentionally cracked his chest!!! UAB has had an class action lawsuit against... read more

I had my baby in May at 33 weeks due to severe pre-eclampsia. They took great care of me during delivery and recovery and wonderful care of my baby during her 3 week NICU stay. I cannot say enough wonderful things about their NICU and CCN staff, as well as L&D staff!
I had my 3rd baby in May, and ended up getting really sick 3 days after and my OB didn’t want to treat me so I went to UAB where I was admitted in the women’s and infants unit and I can’t thank them enough they found the problem and got me on the right meds and I am so grateful for the nurses, doctors, techs and just everyone who had a part in my care.
I stayed and was cared for by nurses and doctors, for 3.5 weeks, at UAB Women and Infants Center 6th floor High Risk. I absolutely loved getting to know each one of the amazing workers. I had such a great experience here and my baby is also being taken care of exceptional staff in the NICU and CCN. Thank you guys for all you do!
My twin boys were at this hospital for a month. They began their stay immediately after birth. They were VERY well taken care of by all the staff. Also, any concerns or ideas I had about my boys were heard and taken to heart. I will always recommend these fine people.
My cousin had her first baby here and the ENTIRE staff treated her with disrespect. Her room was not cleaned the entire 4 days she was there. She had to ask every time she needed a towel, soap, wash rag, blankets for the baby, formula, etc. They hardly checked on her, the nurses were rude over the intercom. Example: asked for new bed sheets so she could lay on a clean bed after her shower, the nurse just came and set them on the table and left. So they wanted the patient that had just had a cesarean change the bed?? Horrible... read more
Dr. Tera Howard is a phenomenal physician! I had the greatest experience with her, her nurses Bethany and Yolanda, and her np Fatiha. Not many doctors are going to come in and let you squeeze/hug them through a painful contraction!! Her partner, Dr. Audra Williams, was also a wonderful, supportive help during our delivery!! Enjoyed our care with everyone we came in contact with. (Virginia, Alice, Kensi, Yvonne, Josh, Mari Beth, Denise, Debbie, and Barbara!)
