Their always so nice to me I've been going there for many years now with my heart condition. Always so professional their everybody good at their jobs and caring. Great staff!
At first I was afraid of what the care might be like because we had to go through medal detectors. The waiting room kinda scared me too but once I was pulled to a room and saw the doctor it was great. It took a moment to be placed in a room upstairs but I didn't have to wait in an uncomfortable wheelchair. Additionally, the staff actually listens to what my complaints are, which makes me feel like they are actually providing care to make me feel better. I am currently still at UAB as a patient. This is one of the best hospitals. The care is amazing, the Drs always work together (all of the health points) specialists are brought in if needed. There is always a great group of interns, students and residents who will not ever give up to find the answer. The care staff (nurses, techs and all the depts) make you feel like it's a vacation not a hospital stay. I would tell everyone to chose this hospital for all of your needs.
They really worked hard for a day and a half to help my husband when his Dr of 13 years Dr Beatty refused to walk down the hall ( after his appointment in his office ) to assist him when he was choking severely. This was late Thursday afternoon and carried him to UAB Friday afternoon where he passed away Saturday morning .Several doctors worked around the clock trying to get him some relief. I would definitely go there again. This was 4 years ago.

My wife is pregnant we think that she is miscarrying and we came in the Er checked in and been sitting for 2 hours hell she's just sitting here in pain and bleeding and could have already miscarried. This is why we chose this hospital because of their complication clinic and they tell us to cone to the Er well this is poor damn service for a pregnancy.

If you're a student thinking about going to UAB definitely think twice. The education offered here is great but the school is one of the most poorly ran operations you'll come across. There's too much to go on about and quite frankly I'm graduating so it's not even worth my time.
