RecommendedCataract surgery during the pandemic. All went well. So thankful for this hospital in Birmingham!
Recently had exam and surgery at C pell city clinic. They are polite helpful as well as experts in their field. Definitely would recommend Dr BLACKSTONE !

The nurse in the operating room (Tina) was so cold and uncaring during my first few minutes in the operating room. Then a nurse dropped a burning, excruciating solution in my eye while I was fully awake and her eyes were smiling. It was torture. I think I passed out. This was my second surgery and the nurse did not burn my eyes like this before. Tina is not an asset to the team. These two showed no mercy at all. Very disappointed that such cruel nurses are employed at Callahan.
My 2 year old daughter got bit by a dog and it tore her lower lid and tear duct. A doctor came to Children’s hospital to see us, admitted us into Callahan Eye Hospital and did her surgery first thing the following morning. The staff gave her a teddy bear that she has yet to put down. They also gave me a clean shirt to wear since mine had blood all over it. They did such a great job on her surgery and treated us so well. I’ll never be able to show them how thankful we are for them! ❤️❤️
I love Dr Callahan and all the people have been so nice to us. My husband has to go about every three months and everyone has been extremely nice. We are so blessed to have this so close to us. Thank everyone for what they do.
Everyone has been so nice .All things have went well.I would recommend this hospital for any eye procedure.
I had two cataract surgeries (with Toric lenses) a week apart. The time spacing was ideal for me. The results are as good as hoped for. I see as well without glasses as I did with glasses before the cataracts began to be a problem. (Except close-up of course) Dr. Stephen Kelly and the entire crew were professional and efficient and caring, Consciously making an effort to make MY experience as smooth as possible. Kudos to them all.
The nurses and doctors are very rude and arrogant. very difficult to find anyone who answers phone calls or return messages. Almost impossible to get any questions answered.
