I made reservation on line to pick up a truck at one location and drop off at second location. I drove to the 1st location and gave them my reservation # so they found it on the system and I got the truck, but when I returned it to the second location they told me you had to return it at the 1st store and now we have to charge you mileage going back to the 1st store. Uhaul has no idea how to run their logistics and inventory system. I placed an order for a large number of boxes and selected a local pickup location which was said to have everything. I get there and they never saw the order plus they didn't have everything on the list. I was told to go home and process the online order like a return. I go home and can't figure out how to do that so I start a chat. I'm told that the local store should have removed the items and given me a refund. I just had an absolutely appalling experience with U-Haul. I made a reservation online for a 10’ truck to pickup at Iceberg Auto Customs at 10:30 AM on 4/3/2021. I arrived at Iceberg Auto Customs at 10:35 AM and the employee said that they did not have a truck for me. He was unhelpful and not wearing a mask. I called 1-800-GO-UHAUL and was on hold for 25 minutes before getting disconnected. I called back and was on hold for 39 minutes. U-haul is a disaster. I booked a 15ft truck two weeks ago, but apparently reservations are meaningless. They called me twice to cancel and find me another truck. The first time it was 30min out of the way, so I said ok. Now the second time, they call me 6pm on a Friday, the night before I'm moving because, SURPRISE! No truck!! This time they tell me a place over an hour out of my way. I said absolutely not. I asked them to find me something in a different area. Apparently they can't. No other trucks in all of NJ. What? Does "guarantee" mean anything anymore? "We have a 6' x 12' Van Trailer reserved for you and guaranteed Thursday, 4/x/2021 at xx:xx AM. We are located at xxxx RENO,NV xxxx and our phone number is (775) xxx-xxxx." ....then a U-Haul rep calls me and says it's not available. This is the third cancelation from U-Haul. First it was a truck rental (so I have to get a trailer to pull with my own vehicle), then it was a hitch installation cancellation, and now the trailer itself is not available. If im being honest, I wouldn't give this a star at all but I am simply because one employee there took the effort to help me when I asked. But I am very displeased with this company. Someone stole out of my storage unit. The company never called me to tell me they found my unit with no lock on it. Had to find out my self. I pay insurance on the unit and the insurance company is not helping me at all. I filed a Police report and the officer said they think it was a janitor that worked at this company. I had went to rent a truck and spent three hours with not receive a key in any of the lockers they had through there mobile app.

The employee that checked me in threaten me and was very rude and disrespectful upon my return. I have never had an experience like this since I have been dealing with Uhaul. When someone tell you that they are charging your bank account/ card whatever they want to that is theft. Even, after Mejae G***** verify that the said employee Michael W***** was wrong about the issue at hand and the way he handled the situation. I have spent the last week trying to contact Uhaul because I rented a trailer and took it from West Virginia to California and they charged me for a toll in Florida. I have proof of more than two hours on hold, facebook messages begging them to call me, emails, and chats, and have been told twice that if the call drops they will call me back - which never happened.
