Horrible from start to finish Had the reservation all messed up and then over charged me with no explanation for damage to the truck. Just an invoice that said window repair no price breakdown or anything.. safelute was allegedly contracted to repair it however my quote from safelight came up $200 cheaper So apparently uhaul employees are allowed to run your card for whatever you want and skim off the top. My family rented a 26 ft and a 5X8 trailer to go to **** from ********. Yes we ended up having to pick it up almost 40 minutes away from the original pick up location BUT the area manager guy ********************* gave us an extra 100 miles for the inconvenience. But sadly we have issues with our personal vehicle being towed on a tow bar and then my husband suffered from heat exhaustion that we didn't get to go YET. My husband rents U-Hauls a lot for business purposes. We went to ***** for business. The truck was broken into. Insurance is always paid. A police report, and insurance claim were made. News Flash: when you pay insurance it does not cover belongings in the cab, or what you are hauling. We were sent 30 miles in the wrong direction for a replacement truck. We weren't eligible for one. We then had to wait 2 1/2 hours for someone to replace the glass. Very unapologetic. Lost an entire day trying to get from ***** back to *******... read more

Abhorrent customer service from online help staff and in store staff. Changed my pickup time, did not confirm with us as the client it works for us. Was provided a truck that was dirty with chip crumbs (was reported in the online check in with photos), left over furniture in the back, missing furniture pads, and a very slow reply from "customer service". If I could give no stars I would. My husband and I reserved a Uhaul truck scheduled to be picked up at 6:00 AM. Our reservation was set up to be a self service pick up. We originally chose a place that was exactly 7 minutes away from our current home for the conscience. My husband received a call two days prior to us moving from a rep that stated the place that was 7 minutes away did not have any available trucks to rent. Got a ubox for a move from HI to **. I was told I would receive a call when the box arrived in *********** and that it could be put on a trailer and I could pick it up. I received no call and instead got a vague letter with no instructions on the next steps to take. Nonetheless, excited to get my things we rearranged the plans we had, gassed up our truck ($98 if you were wondering) and headed to *********** (an hour away give or take, its 2 lanes most of the way). On June 22, 2022, we rented a uhaul to move for 2 days from *****************************. We had the worst experience. I am writing to try and get this resolved, as I have called REPEATEDLY FOR THE PAST 2 WEEKS to get someone to respond to me. Ive been told a manager is going to respond, NEVER did I get a response and this has been escalated. We decided to try using a Ubox with moving help added at both ends. The first movers said they would be there with the Ubox at 11 am, but did not show until after 1. I had to call to see if they were even on their way. BUT, at least they had called me several days prior to confirm...I give them points for that and because they were 3 very nice young men. However, they did not know how to pack a Ubox securely and efficiently...I fully expect my stuff to be in a jumble when it arrives! Minus points for UHaul because, although ... read more

UHaul is the absolute worst company to move with. They messed up from the first moment by renting my truck to someone else and because UHaul subs contracts most of the rentals, nothing can be done. Luckily the place I was originally supposed to rent a 15 ft truck from (that Uhaul put at a different location and approved the rental to someone else in breach of the contract with me) found a 10ft truck for the next day and held my car dolly reservation over.
