I rented a pickup on June 23rd at the U Haul in ******, **. I reported a severe inside cabin squeak and poor gas mileage (5 mpg based on the gas receipts I have on hand and miles driven) which cost me a lot of money as a result. U Haul did not offer to reimburse me for any of it. I asked to NOT have that same truck when I rented again on the 26th. I was told I'd be given a different one. Uhaul has the literal worst customer service I have ever experienced. I was on hold for over 3 hours and no one could answer my question about something that was supposedly a common problem/request. I was hung up on an hour into being on hold without being able to speak to anyone. Then when I called back I was transfer 3 times and each time was on hold for 30 plus minutes. UHaul is HORRIBLE!I reserved a Uhaul box and 3 days before my move I got a call stating that the box would not be available to me! This literally puts me in THE WORST position as I now have to take time off work to find another way to move my stuff 3 days before I am supposed to be out of my place and will cost me thousands of dollars to get a last minute shipping company to handle my stuff. WHAT KIND OF CUSTOMER SERVICE IS THIS? The lady said "when you make a reservation with Uhaul, nothing is ever guaranteed" as an excuse.... read more

My husband and I booked a 26-foot U-haul truck for our **** mile, multi-state move over one month in advance online. Online it stated that someone from U-hual would call us the day before our scheduled pick-up time to confirm the trucks availability at a store one-mile from our house in DC. Not only did we never receive a call from them, but when we called them ourselves the day of pick-up, they told us the truck was actually never going to be available in the first place, and we would have to drive over 1.5 hours to another... read more

Worst communication Ive ever had. I used a Ubox to move, and it arrived a day late. No one told *** had to call and ask why it wasnt showing up. The people I spoke to were clueless about what was going on and gave me no sure answers. My reservation was to have the Ubox arrive on a Saturday. At one point I had an email saying it would be delivered on Friday. Re: Contract #******** I rented a truck to move on 3/30/2022. They quoted me $183.19 and charged me as such. But then they charged me $807.46 saying I had the truck over 24 hrs. Which is NOT TRUE. The truck was returned the same day. I had it for about 5 hrs and it was returned with gas filled. I also spoke to someone at Uhaul on April 15th to resolve this. I wish 0 stars was allowed. I had a planned Moving day. I booked moving help. I also booked Uhaul truck rental 5 days before move. I received confirmation email. I went into the online uhaul account and it said - you are all set. Now on the moving day, I called my pick up location number just as proactiveness. And the guy on that location was not just rude in speaking - but even said - I should call Uhaul and they will assist me. Not him. Do not rent from uhaul go anywhere but. They rip people out of thousands of dollars every single month with their contracts and ridiculous late fees. The only company i know that will charge you half a month's rent for a 30day late fee, that is $100! I have tried to talk to the manager as well as the district manager about these fees, they don't care. Everyone is hurting in Canada right now, food and shelter come first.
