I volunteered many years ago at a wildlife rehab. centre in another part of Oregon; we struggled with having enough volunteers, and never had the manpower to answer our phone or return messages. It was all we could do to keep up with the animals dropped off at our doorstep. This has not been my experience with Turtle Ridge; every time I've called, the phone has been answered. To date, I've dropped off a baby snake and a baby crow, and have been met by helpful, friendly staff who obviously care about their charges. We missed ... read more

I just dropped off a baby deer, they seemed very knowledgeable about the deer and told us what they would do to help. We tried to call the wildlife center in Corvallis, Oregon and they refused to take her. So I recommend taking any wildlife to this one.

My wife dropped off a baby squirrel last week to Turtle Ridge when no one else would take him. They are taking care of him and getting him healthy!

I found a baby Kestrel (small falcon) in the corner of my stairwell when I came to work. It still had down on it's head and wings. I dropped it off at TR and they put the little guy in an incubator in ICU right away. I called a few days later and they told me he was now in with two other birds. They will teach it to hunt and when they are confident it is able to, they will let him go. I was very pleased to hear that they will be taking such good care of him!

I found one of our "pet" squirrels injured in our backyard, we didn't know Turtle Ridge existed. we brought it in and they took it no problem. Thank You. We now happily support Turtle Ridge.

I just left this place and dropped off a baby squirrel Whose hand was broken and they took her with no question. I felt so bad for the little thing i had to find somewhere to take her that could do more for her than me. she needs real care and i feel that this place was the best for her. they were so nice and informative and welcoming. I had lots of questions and Kate had lots of info. so smart.

I love how there's no species discrimination here. Turtle Ridge helps animals that would be euthanized elsewhere, like possums, pigeons, and squirrels. 🥰🕊🐿
