Outstanding Service and Quality – The food and service was outstanding, our server Nicoleta was polite and swift with our order and checked up on our table often. The food was excellently prepared and tasted great. Nice comfortable setting for dining. I will definitely return to try the many other Turner offerings that you can't get anywhere else.
Awkward dining at Turner's – Food was quite good, but overpriced; service was high pressure and and full of sales tactics, "so why don't I start you off with the meat sampler?" -- the sort of stragety employed at chain restaurants, which I'm obviously trying to escape at finer establishments. After declining the cheese and dessert suggestion (which came in the middle of dinner), the server actually wheeled the cheese cart to our table to try to convince us otherwise. Then we were asked to fill out comment cards!? I've never ... read more
NOT as Good As We Hoped – Having been to TNZ twice with friends I can a attest that the food products are of decent quality but unfortunately the preparation isn't consistant and the service is spotty, different Chefs have come and gone. Go at your own risk! NOW YOU'VE READ AN UNBIASED REVIEW by a regular poster who's posted several times concerning several restaurants, instead of ONCE!
Best Restaurant in Orange County – Turner New Zealand is my favorite restaurant in Orange County. The service is excellent, and the food is remarkable. I have been to this restaurant on many occasions, and I never leave disappointed. From the moment I walk in the door until the time I leave I am waited on left and right by their friendly staff. Mr. Steving, the restaurant manager, knows how to make his guests feel specialhe greets us by name whenever we dine at Turner New Zealand. Mr. Turner is one of a kind; he always bring... read more
Steaks were burnt – I took my fiancee's family out for dinner at TNZ. All of us (party of 6) ordered steaks. After waiting for a long time, the steaks came out all burnt on the outside and completely rare in the inside. We all ordered differently (medium rare, medium, well done, etc) and all of them were that of the same. So we complained to the waiter, who then blamed it on the chefs. So he takes all our steaks back to the kitchen. The manager comes and apologizes and they bring us back our re-cooked steaks. It was bad befo... read more
Great Date Spot – I have been to Turner New Zealand on more than one occation and i must say the everytime i go it is amazing. The service is exeptional and is no match for the food. The food isn't rich with butters or oils, all foods are top quality. You deffinetly sence the strong family influence in the decoration of the restaurant, it has old black and white family pictures on the wall, that give the restaurant a very unique feel. Definatly a great romantic date spot. The only thing i would warn about is if you begin wit... read more
4th Time's No Charm – First time was great. Second time, hey, what's going on? Third time, where's our waiter, how about some service? Fourth time, we're fed up, our drinks are wrong, the waiter is non-existent, have to flag down the busboy for service, we are done with TNZ. It's not like we didn't give them several opportunities to impress us!
For serious meat lovers who appreciate all-natural Kiwi meat and seafood that's among the purest--and tastiest--on the planet. – The Scene The long, narrow space and dark-wood tables evoke Manhattan's sleek, space-efficient fine restaurants. The emphasis is on unhurried, top-notch service amid South Coast's buzzing metro center. The legacy of the rugged fishing and farming New Zealand Turner family is chronicled on large black-and-white photo murals. The Food Free-range grass-fed beef, lamb and venison without hormones or an... read more
