One of the Best Expierences of my life – I have been to many fine dining restaurants within the Orange County area but none of them have compared to Turner New Zealand. The minute i walked into the restaurant i was amazed at the warm welcome i received. The atmosphere was intimate and relaxed making it easy for conversation and relaxation. I was amazed at variety of the menu and at some of the unique dishes that were served, such as deer and rare New Zealand deliqutices. I enjoyed a steak that was cooked to perfection, and t... read more

Want to treat yourself to something special?.... – Then go to Turner New Zealand! I live in the Bay Area, but still have managed to make three trips this year to TNZ. I love the ambiance and thoughtfulness of the staff (from John's amazing ability to remember names, the lint free linen napkins, to the special birthday touches...) It is well worth the wait and travel! Now if only the second location could be in the Bay Area... P.S. Order Mama Turner's Pavlova-you'll love it!

The highest ranking on Citysearch? – Although TNZ isnt the worst restaurant, it doesnt deserve the best ranking, either. Theres nowhere to wait for your table without being in the way. The hostess seated part of our group and promised to notify us at the bar, and never did. Our group sat at our table over 5 minutes before someone in our party had to get us himself. I had to point out to our waiter that he brought us a 2003 bottle of wine that listed on the menu as a 2002. He said it was more or less the same; for a $100+ bot... read more

Probably one of the best place for a steak in OC – I've eaten here a few times and the steak the greatest. The ribeye is my favorite!!! Everything I've tried on the menu so far is good too. I really like the atmosphere there. Not too crowded and not too loud. It's very easy to get a table at the last minute. The service and people there are awsome!!! Highly recommend this place. A perfect 10.

overrated – I dined at TNZ on Nov 11 or 12 of 2005 and I have to agree with the reviewer below that the steaks or our venison was over cooked or poorly cooked. We order rare but found the center of the meat medium rare and the rest being dry and medium. Usually I would send it back but I did not want to wait another hour for my food. The staff is very friendly but not very attentive or professional. I found myself pouring my own wine and waiting over 15 minutes per cocktail. The service is poor for a restaurant this caliber ... read more

The Best of Orange County – When going to a business lunch or dinner I can't think of a better place for food and ambience. The knowledge and enthusiasm in which your meal is served is second only to the Taste. Don't be affraid to ask for special preparation, Noel Turner and staff seem to be at thier best when being challenged. Big hint: The best lamb Porterhouse in So. Cal. if you don't like lamb the Rib eye is better than any steakhouse in town.

Noel Turner manages a great spot – in a market with a lot of competition, Noel Turner has created something special. It is rare that an owner is so present and so in control of a great dining experience. You won't need to ask to speak to the owner; he'll just be there. Steaks, oysters and anything NZ is great. If they have "Turner Blue Cheese" for an after dinner, just order it. Memorable.

My Favorite Restaurant! – Turner New Zealand is my favorite restaurant! I go there at least a few times a month. Everytime I go, I enjoy the best food and the most wonderful service! It is a world-class restaurant and they treat me like royalty everytime I go. Last week I enjoyed the best venison I have ever tasted. I wish I could eat there more often. Whenever I have visitors I know exactly where to take them for a one-of-a-kind experience! Once you eat there, you will be hooked for life!

Best Steaks I Have Ever Had! – Visited this restaurant numerous times over the past 2 years and their steaks have always surpassed what other fine dining steakhouse can offer. I had the Turner King Salmon Cake to start. Crust is crispy--not hard, deep fried but not greasy at all. Salmon inside is fresh and tender--not dry. Don't forget the avacado on the side, it goes well with it. Highly recommended besides the Turner Calamari and Turner Mussels. The best part is the steak!! Tender, juicy, huge portion of rib-eye served on ... read more
