Turner's Chocoate Souffle is an Absolute Must – I've visited Turners at least 8 times. This place may not be what you expect. They use VERY light seasoning for their food, so if you expect something really done up, you'll be at a lost. This is not a french place. It is a place that emphasis is on the New Zeland beef/meet. Best of everything! – Since I moved to Orange County from Tokyo less than a year ago, I have been eating out to find a restaurant where I can enjoy the food. To find such a restaurant is my "pursuit of happiness". Turner is one of a few restaurants I can recommend to anyone who appreciate and understand the real taste of food. Just Fantabulous – We always loved Turner New Zealand- the service, the food and the ambience has been superb! However TNZ took their food and service to the next level for my 25th Birthday Celebration! The managers and waiters were very accomodating and went beyond our expectations. Somewhat Disappointed – To be honest, I thought for a rating of 9.8 this place would be exceptional. And I have to admit that the steaks are really good. But the overall experience was a bit disappointing. We started with the lobster bisque which was good but certainly not great. Then we got calamari and mussles. OVERRATED – Their is nothing to reproach to this place. The design is nice, the service is impaccable, the food is correct. It's just that i was expected the best steak ever, steak from new zewland is better blablabla, super ratings, super reviews. I just disagree. Turner is a fine place to eat but the steak are just normal.,Nothing special. So this restaurant is great, but it is definitivly over rated and over priced. And repeat steak are just average.
Good, but Without the Umph! – With a 9.8 rating it?s almost a must-try in Orange County, but?the inside looks as if walls were knocked down so five strip mall store fronts could be strung together. It's ok – I went with a few friends and were all expecting the best food EVER after reading so many reviews. I must say however, the food was just OK. It could have been because we were expecting something more after hearing about the steak coming in from NZ, etc. The souffle was incredible bu the other house recipe dessert they have was AWFUL!
