Excellent transportation company to start with an work for. Like any OTR trucking to make money need to stay out and roll. My fleet manager did very good to help me make money and get home when necessary and Prime's facilities are very driver friendly. But with Prime you have to stay out to earn.

Would be 5 stars if the trucks would not have on guard sensors, not governed so low, and Prime had better mechanics. There's no excuse to continue to go to the shop for the same reason. And then just coping. Still have a few issues. But definitely not going back to the shop. I agree with packing these trucks with safety equipment 4 amateur drivers. Butt I don't feel like I need these in my truck. Our trucks are so slow that they cause congestion on highways. And the sensors make it extremely hard to pass traffic during busy ... read more

The training program is exceptional, if the trainee has any common sense. Some trainers need not be trainers and some offer outstanding experience. If you go through the PSD program expect no more than $450 a week in pay after attaining your license. The "guaranteed" $700 a week is before taxes and not explained. Lastly, expect delays in dispatch in the evenings and on weekends. I been here 8 years and a CDL instructor and TNT trainer . Been thinking about the Reefer side and hear some good and the bad . So let's hear it ?
All companies have their "stuff", but overall Prime takes care of their drivers from getting to orientation to 30,000 miles of extensive training. Special thanks to William Haynes for being an awesome trainer and Justin Walker fleet manager getting us where we need to go!
