Nice new hotel, modern amenities like wifi thermostats and lights. Rooms are 3/4 scale like all Tru rooms. Breakfast is sub par (wish it was like Home2), gym is good. Soon to have competition across the street. See what happens when it's not the only game in town (I don't count a Super 8 as competition for the business traveler).
Overall, this stay was a good experience with a comfortable bed in a very clean room with a nice shower. The continental breakfast served 7 am-10 am had slim pickings by the time we got to breakfast a little before 9 am. The pancake machine is a fun idea that was totally ruined by the woman running the breakfast bar when she refused to change the empty bag of batter. When a hospitality professional goes that extra mile for someone not staying at their property, you want to give a hug! But five stars and a warm review will do. Frankly, we couldn't afford the rate at Tru/Hilton, much as we loved the vibe. At 2a.m. on a Friday morning, the desk manager got on the phone to a nearby hotel and found us a place to rest our heads. Thank you!!
We were visiting friends in Dixon and decided to stay here. For the price and amenities, it is a great deal. Rooms were clean, breakfast was decent, and the best part about our stay was the amenities for kids. They have over 20 board games you can check out and play. We stayed in the lobby and played shuffle board and UNO.
