Take the kids to this place! It's like a petting zoo, with parrots roaming around freely and waiting to be fed; they are friendly, but you should ask the store manager if it's okay to pet them. It usually is. Don't worry. Snakes and lizards are kept in glass cases. Tarantulas from Arizona or Mexico are original souvenirs, as they make very good pets despite their scary looks. I had the best experience when I chose to add a new animal friend to my home. I chose an Indian Ring-neck and was walked through everything I asked. She was only 47 days old and I had to feed her by hand and it was the best experience ever. I was shown how to mix the food, how to feed her, and most importantly told that I would be helped in anyway they can to help me and my new family member adjust. best pet store in tucson!
If you are buying a parakeet for a child, this is the most wonderful place to go. They have a big choice of young, hand fed parakeets with their wings clipped (don't worry if this sounds bad, as they grow back) but in the meantime you won't have to chase your bird around the house with a net which is REALLY traumatic. Also they have the most gifted girl who will take your choice of bird out, help your child hold and pet it, and talk with your child about birds and what to do. Friends my daughter bought a chinchilla from @tropicalkingdompetshop and in less than a week her new love died. Heart broken she called the @tropicalkingdompetshop the best they could offer was a discount on a new one!!! My daughter is an animal lover and owns a dog, 2 bearded dragons, a snake, fish, and several pet rats(not food).
