Take the kids to this place! It's like a petting zoo, with parrots roaming around freely and waiting to be fed; they are friendly, but you should ask the store manager if it's okay to pet them. It usually is. Don't worry. Snakes and lizards are kept in glass cases. Tarantulas from Arizona or Mexico are original souvenirs, as they make very good pets despite their scary looks. The store frequently has sales on macaws and cockatoos.

As first time parrot parents, they literally walked us through every single step, were extremely patient and knowledgeable & made sure we were 100% comfortable before we took him home, almost two weeks later. Everyone there is so kind and never made me feel like I was asking “silly questions”. I've been coming here for the last year and don't plan on leaving anytime soon. I have now bought four of my forever family members from Tropocal Kingdom and recommend them over any pet shop in Tucson. They're not only friendly and knowledgeable but relatable and HONEST! I drive 45/50 minutes to come here for their customer service alone!! Wouldn't trade them for any other pet shop!

I just returned from shopping at this wonderful store. I've set up a 45 gallon aquarium and went here to get the fish. I know nothing about fish, but Marijo was very helpful and knowledgeable. She knew exactly what to suggest and how many fish to start out with. Thank you, Marijo!!!! You have earned a repeat customer. :-)
