Great atmosphere, I had the Ruben platter with german mashed potatoes and their red cabbage, all of the food was excellent, the waiter brought us some beer samples even though the placed was packed, our food arrived quickly and the waiter was right on top of us checking to make sure we were taken care of. I read the bad reviews and have to greatly differ with their experiences. It is definitely a great place to eat and watch the river.
It was "OK". Not bad but not great. Thebeer was good. Food was decent but over priced.

We have dined here everytime we have been to Helen, we love sitting by the river, but food wasn't as good as years past.
When in Helen, The Troll Tavern is a must do for great scenery, service, and their menu is wonderful as well.
Been here twice, both times the food was great, and the drinks were cold. Service has always been fast and friendly. We will be back!
