I've been to Helen several times and Troll Tavern has always been a favorite of mine. We stopped in this weekend to have a beer. When we told the server we wouldn't be eating and asking if that was okay, he said, 'okay'. There was a hesitant tone. As he walked away he made a face like he was unhappy with that. We got up and left. I am not going to be treated that way and made to feel unwelcome. Something needs to change here in order for us to return.
The food and service was terrible I would not recommend

Absolutely awful food, huge like at the restrooms,1 hour wait between being seated an food arrival. Yes all of Helen is crowded today, but no excuse. Get the tourist dollar, no service.
My first visit and I will not return. Although the wait staff was on his game, the time to eat and the cold onion rings and overcooked burger was very disappointing.
The Troll is Awesome...... The Wife and I stop there every time we visit Helen .....
Waited 40 mins for food and I was printer issue. Paid for drinks and left. Wow what a terrible experience.
