Because it isn't uncommon for people to have VERY different experiences, I felt it would be very helpful to write a review of my experience today. I arrived early and much to my joy quickly learned the staff was ahead of schedule. I was done and out before my appointment time! I don't have issues...just very routine, annual mammogram. I came for a follow-up mammogram and had an incredibly distressing experience. From the radiologist’s lack of due diligence to the painful and dismissive treatment by the technicians—and even a religious interruption during my exam—every aspect of my care was unacceptable. The radiologist, Dr. Haddlesey, recommended yearly MRIs staggered with mammograms. While that might sound appropriate, it clearly showed she hadn’t reviewed my medical record.
