I would give this business ZERO stars if I could. All the people I have spoken to have been kind but their communication and service is horrible! I do not usually leave reviews but after 3 different DISASTERS with this company I am completely FED UP. Orders not delivered when they were confirmed multiple times. I’m going to say it- I HATE Amerigas. I will be finding another company ASAP!!

I submitted an online order for propane delivery on 12/29/20 and was given a delivery window of Jan 2-12. I called on the 9th due to our gas tank level getting very low. I was told we should be getting propane delivered by the 12th. The 12th came and went and our gas was never delivered. I called again on the 12th and was told gas should be delivered in the next 1-2 days. On the 13th we called again and were told we were scheduled for delivery the following day. After calling twice on the 14th we were told we were on the sch... read more

Tried to charge me tank rental for the coming year after I had cancelled service. They did not pick up tanks until 3 months later after I cancelled. After 6 hours total on hold they told me I wouldn’t owe it. They still sent the bills and charged overdue fees. They finally sent me a final bill and they had minused the tank rental, but still charged me over due fees and turned me into collections. Also on final Bill they charged for disconnecting. They didn’t, my new gas company disconnected. I’m a senior and my credit is imp... read more

I recently received propane from AmeriGas. I was happy with the timeframe in which the propane was delivered and I thought the rates were very fair. When I originally scheduled the delivery I was told I was eligible for their convenience pay (monthly installments) so that I wouldn’t have to pay the propane in full. However, the Customer Experience Advocate did not properly set me up for monthly installments and I was charged in full- which is a lot of money at once. I called back multiple times; each time on hold for more th... read more

I wish I could give negative stars. Amerigas is a terrible company! Stay away! if you call you will be put on hold for over 80 minutes and listen to maddening music (hoping to drive you away). My last three calls I waited on hold for over 80 minutes and then heard a "click" as somebody picked up the phone and then hung up - every time! This company does not answer the phone so don't even try. If you do reach a representative they will tell you to place an order online. AN ONLINE ACCOUNT means you agree to a THREE YEAR CONTRA... read more

Per their web site, our delivery was ordered on Dec 15th. It is now Jan 13th and the tank ran empty yesterday. I used their web site to update the tank status several times to reflect our actual usage. Once it got low and many calls where I was told that they were not accepting calls and spending hours waiting on the phone on other calls, I finally reached someone yesterday that promised a delivery by today. Still no delivery at 4:00p.m. I tried their on-line chat, but that is not working either. I get a message saying they ... read more

My Name is Jessee and I have a wife and 3 kids that are autistic. Now with that being said. Our propane was shut off in January of 2020 do to none payment because I lost my job. However I got a new job and started to get back on my feet and I went to a church to help us pay some of the propane. I called Amerigas and spoke with a supervisor about our bill and he said if you can get 500 up then he will get us hooked back up and he told me he would put in the notes so when we call back whoever answers would see the deal he gave... read more

I am thoroughly disappointed with this company. I placed an order on 12/28 and was told a delivery date of 1/1-1/11. Thursday 1/7 we run out of propane. My husband called and was told it would be between 24-48 hours and someone would deliver. Saturday 1/9, 48 hours, came along and still no delivery. Called that afternoon and was told they would place an emergency delivery to fill our tank. Couple hours later and no one showed up. Called again that evening and was reassured by two Amerigas customer representatives that someon... read more
