RecommendedMy husband and I have stay at the Trapp Family Lodge foe every Fourth of July weekend and we absolutely love coming back. We have decided that this will be our tradition. It is peaceful and relaxing. We never have had a bad experience. There are amazing scenic picture where ever you look.
We had our week four stay at the guest house and it was also the week of the 50th year anniversary. While the weather was being difficult in terms of snow, Trapp did a great job with the trails and we were able to ski 4 out of 5 days and leverage 85% of the trails. As usual the hot tub and pool were wonderful. We were also able to participate in the midnight ski to the brewery, do a tour of the ski area with the Trapp family, and then take part in a history of the ski center.... of course the beer was excellent. Fabulous! Relaxing, friendly, accommodating, can't wait to come back!
Such a wonderful, fabulous and enchanting place where everyone is genuinely friendly and nice - guests and employees included. Mr VonTrapp and his son Sam make several appearances and mix with the guests. It was a fantastic and fun experience to have Tama and Tazz be welcome to stay. Sooo much fun to experience the trails with my fur babies. We will be back! We plan to call the Trapp our home away from home, as it feels just that.
Thanks so much for a wonderful vacation, including a very memorable New Years Eve starting with dinner at the restaurant (thanks to Taylor for taking such good care of us) and then drinks in the lounge (Alexander was our server) with Chris at the piano. Just when we think we have gotten to know the lodge, there is new trails to discover and people to meet. One suggestion is that we would LOVE to see some of the cycling trails opened up to fat biking! We will be back this year!!
