Very disappointed in our stay at The Trapp Family Lodge last night. The restaurants and lounges were all closed by 9:00 pm, that seemed early to us. The biggest disappointment though was the stained sheets on our bed. The beds were very uncomfortable and constantly squeeked with every move. It was too late at night to start moving around so we waited until the next morning to tell the front desk. Bucket List✅! Did not disappoint!!
Such an amazing place. This has been on the bucket list for a long time and we’re excited to have finally gone. The staff were absolutely wonderful, the food was superb and the sights breathtaking. Our only downside was that our trip wasn’t long enough! There’s so much to see and do. If you ever get the chance to visit this historical gem, do it! Especially if you’re a Sound of Music fan like us!!

I had to change my stars. The main desk people were very business like. Very curt. I saw a discount on line and once you book, you are booked. Can’t get the discount. If you have AAA you save 5 %. Big deal. Then they charge your card 120 dollars for a temp hold. You get that back when you check out. They charge for you to see their brewery. They charge for you to see their sugar camp. The Trapp Family Lodge is a must go place when you are in Vermont!!!! The service was excellent, food was delicious!!! Especially the eggs!!!! Olena, our server, was very courteous and understanding. Please stop by and enjoy this lodge!!!!
It is well kept. We might go back. For the price we paid I had very high expectations. I had the option of going to TopNotch, however picked Trapp because they advertise a rate call one of our favorite things saying breakfast included and one of our favorite things to pick from. Well they explained to us that it is only breakfast and we are invited to take something else at an additional cost.
