I called the appraiser to get a breakdown of the appraisal to better my understanding of the process. The appraiser immediately got defensive and acted like I was trying to discredit her. She then ever so subtly accused me of intentionally pricing my home for more than what it's worth, even though a very similar house in my neighborhood is going for the same price as mine.
