A long time ago, in the bustling town of Austin, Texas, a man named Mike Rypka bought a food trailer and a red Vespa. His dream? To start a taco joint. RecommendedGreat location, wonderful food, awesome service, the drinks are spectacular. Corey Elliot and Tanner Scott are killing it as a management team and all the servers and bartenders are polite and super helpful. I would highly recommend to anyone looking for some quick bites or to sit down and have some drinks and fun. I had the Trailer park taco (make it trashy 😉) and the grande burrito (probably a little more than I could handle) but everything was fantastic and we will be returning for sure .

I LOVED the Torchy’s down in Southlake but I think this ones still got a lot of work to do. Granted they did just open on Wednesday so it’s somewhat expected. The trailer park used to be my go to favorite and something about it was just underwhelming this time around. Might’ve been the fact that I had to wait 40 minutes to receive my food after I had ordered. Had Torchys in Tulsa for the first time in March, wasn’t that impressed by it but my husband convinced me to try it again this past May while in Austin and I was completely blown away! I was super worried our new Torchys might be another miss but it is right on par with the Austin location! So excited I don’t have to wait to go back to TX for this!

I’m disappointed. I stayed in the line with mask on excited about tasting the food. Then I see a worker with no mask on... figured he put it right on maybe it just slipped down. But nope! I was in line 20 minutes or more and he never put it on!... I had to tell management to make him put it on. They apologized and said my food is on them...Then as I wait I see everyone in the kitchen with a mask on EXCEPT the kitchen manager! It’s under her chin!! Don’t go yet. I’m sure the tacos are amazing but they have a LOT to figure out about running a functioning restaurant. Watched a bartender take 15 minutes to make a single margarita. Got told incorrect information about being able to place a carry out order at the bar, so I waited 45 minutes to be helped before being told I couldn’t do that. In all, I waited an hour and a half and left empty handed and practically in tears from the frustration.
Great service and great food.
