I want to thank Jake, Kevin and James. They came out and did a fantastic job on my chimney. The quote Jake gave me was less than expected. Hard working crew that installed the shingles professionally. Somewhat lacking was the clean-up. Tarps were used to catch the old roofing materials, however, bits of the old shingles and roofing nails missed the tarp and were scattered randomly in the grass and on the driveway.
They had a reasonable price, JD was the customer service representative and was very professional and quick. The only item I wish would have been better was they either significantly overestimated the area of my roof or they planned on a lot of waste. I ended up with over 2 sqares of shingles left. It's nice they left them, but I'm sure I paid for them plus their mark up. I rated them 4 stars instead of 5 on value for that reason. They were still a good value, just could have been better. Thank you for the generous and honest review. We always order 10% extra material than the actual square footage of the project. This is an industry standard to prevent shortages and mismatching supplementary shingles. We do not mark up materials. Our business is essentially a labor business. Over overhead and profit are charged independently of the cost of Labor and materials. Usually, these leftover materials are returned and we retain the refund. Great job on roof repair. Honest assessment and no overselling.
They were prompt. Kept me informed if something was late. Cleaned all material when completed. Very impressed. Wish they did siding too. I'd hire them in a minute.
Timely service
Excellent, on time, competitive bid, very cooperative about timing of the job. The man who did the bid, JD Sitter was experienced in construction, personable, and provided supervision of the job. They cleaned up well and spent 12+ hours on the job to get it done in one day.
top hat was a good name, they delivered top grade service in a efficient manner. i would recomend them to anyone needing their serviced. as i said they are a top hat company. friendly that goes above and beyond to make sure they are happy !!!
