Good Times – Came to Tonic with a group of friends for dinner and drinks. Its your typical pub food, which was good. People and bartenders were all very friendly, rooftop had awesome ambience and music was good. Only compliant is the selection of the happy hour drinks and the happy hours did not apply to the rooftop. All-in-all a good time with good friends.
GO HERE IF U LIKE GETTING RIPPED OFF – I wish i could give negative stars to this place. Not for the music or the decor but for the service. We went out for a friends birthday party and went to the rooftop and ordered a bottle. We indicated that we would like to split the bill between cash and card. The waitress brought me the bill and asked me to sign for my portion on the card. End of story? NOT BY A LONGSHOT. I love going to tonic. I am a huge fan of the music videos that play on the TVs all night. The bar tenders are awesome. Definitely a great place to go with friends.
Just plain not nice – Stayed on this block with friends and thought we would check out tonic one night. Looked like a fun crowd. The three of us went up to the second floor to find the roof top rented out to a private party. Ok no biggie, the girl at the stairway was nice and said the party would be over soon. We went into the bar area of the second floor and got drinks, they were good, reasonable priced. Great spot for the summer!! – Very nice place... prices for drinks were cheap... the environment was really good... the girls were hot.. and all my friend had a blast..... highly recommended
Needs Better Happy Hour Drinks – This is a great place it's 3 floors. The staff is great very friendly. There drinks are good rather reasonable. There Happy Hour is very limited they have $5 dollar cosmos and draft beer $4 so not much to choose from, and it doesn't apply to roof top which kinda sucks. They have huge big screens so the Yankee game was on that was a check plus. The food is good rather reasonable as well. Overall great experience, just wish they had a better selection of happy hour drinks.
Great Location & Happy Hour Specials – I headed to Tonic East for a friend's birthday at about 6 on a Friday evening. We wanted to sit on the roof because it was a beautiful spring day but were told that their happy hour deals ($3 well drinks!) were not applicable on the roof. We moved downstairs and sat near the front windows (it was almost like being on the roof....) and were told that we were not allowed to order from the bar, we needed to order from the cocktail waitress. bad service – went last nighy. asked for amstel that was on tap and bartender gives me a bottle. asked for beer that os on tap. he gives it to me and throws the pen to sign the bill. that aint service not matter what city you live in. i earned my money and the beer. show some respect.
loud and crowded, great rooftop – went there last thurs for my friend's bday. there was a good crowd for a thursday night. we couldn't get a table so we had to order from the bar, which was better on the first floor than the second. one bartender who seemed like he didn't know what he was doing made our drinks wrong and then refused to even try to fix them, but the tall blonde girl was really nice about it and made sure we were taken care of, so it was okay. she even gave us a round of "birthday cake" shots for my friend. ov... read more
