good vibe, music is eh – I really like the three tier bar in tonic east. For some reason the bottom floor is too packed but the third floor, with the view, is really cool and chill. The drinks were reasonable and the bartenders were attentive and quick. But the music...Ricky Martin? and La Bouche? I mean, I like throwbacks but c'mon. Maybe it was an off night but on a friday night I expected better. I'll plan on going back for all the other reasons but hoping for better music.
upstairs bar is great – went there for st. paddys around midnight as one of our stops on a pub crawl. We were going to leave because downstairs was packed and there was no place to sit. But my friend had to use the bathroom so we went upstairs since there was too many people to go down. The moment we got up there 2 of the bartenders asked me what I wanted. So I ordered a drink since I was waiting anyway. We ended up staying for over 2 hours. Turned out to be really fun. Even the staff dances and has fun. I dont know if I wou... read more
Great Time! – I celebrated my birthday at Tonic and I had a blast. A whole bunch of my buddies and I came in and I was given a free bottle of champagne since it was my birthday. How sweet is that? The place had cool music so what could be better? Having sports on the screens, drinking with my buds, hangin with some cute girls, cheap shots...happy birthday to me! People should definitely check this place out...good place to celebrate a birthday for sure!
Keep your coat – This is the first time I've been compelled to write a review. Tonic was packed, played decent music (albeit on repeat--about a six song cycle). But nothing could infuriate me more than retrieving my coat from the coat check (for which I paid) only to find it covered in dirt. Not just a small spot or stain. My coat looked like someone had thrown it in a dumpster, only to retrieve it a week later. I don't understand--they hang the coats in the stairwell between the second and third floor. How does this hapen? ... read more
Best place to watch sports! – This is the first place I go to when I watch a game. There are so many TV's and screens...you can also watch many different games at once. This is the place to go if you want to just sit around watching sports, enjoy some beers and eat some pub food. The wings and burgers are really good. The best part was the mini-kegs! It's really convenient to have rather than constantly ordering beers. Our waitress would re-fill the keg and we would just keep refilling our pints.
FUN TIMES! Great Happy Hour! – I went to Tonic after work with a bunch of my colleagues. Tonic has great drink specials! The staff was really friendly...great to chat with and always ready to serve my next drink. The bartender made me the best apple martini! Great place to go after work and we would definitely go there again!
Editorial Review by Joanna Prisco – Multi-level sports restaurant serves an eclectic menu in a classy and elegant atmosphere.
Great Music, No Cover – The DJ was great (although I don't think there was a need for his own personal body guard) with coordinating music videos. He played old school hits and today's top ten. The place was crowded but not ridiculous. There was a VIP area but I truly don't believe anyone VIP-worthy was up there.
definitely go – tonic is a great addition to the area - big sports bar with lots of flatscreens and great music. i recommend the place for happy hour or to watch the game on saturday afternoon. there's always a great crowd and the tater tots are amazing!
