Great place if you are Coupeville, or have some time before or after a Keystone/ Port Townsend ferry ride. Great view of Penn Cove, rustic frontier type décor, good variety of beer. The onion rings are battered and very good. They do the fish in a milk based batter that I found an interesting twist, but the 2nd half of my fish I just took off the batter. Historic building, fun "surly" staff and the owner sits at the bar!! Huge, yummy portions!! Beautiful area. Walking down the street for ice cream next!!
Don't miss a chance to eat at Toby's Tavern if you are in Coupeville. Their mussels and mussel chowder are superb! And so is all their food.
We have always have a great experience. Just remember to ask if there is a waiting list for a table don't just go in and sit down. Wait staff is excellent and very personable. We are from Michigan and Toby's a must for us whenever we come to the island.
We had fish and chips and onion rings. All were good. Friendly service. thank you.
