I am very dissatisfied with the lack of service from LoanDepot. Their time frame for the delivery of information and documents is totally unrealistic from a Friday evening to 5:00 pm PDST on the following Tuesday. This bit of information should be given first, not after the process has started.******************************

Terrible process. I've had 4 mortgages in my life and 2 refi's. Loandepot took far longer than any of the others. Rocket had me processed in 20 days. Loandepot has taken almost 4 months. There is nothing, strange or different on my loan. I have good credit, I responded to all requests the same day.My rep was okay, but had to apologize for 3 months straight. Unresponsive and unprofessional - we set up 45 days to close and because the agents/managers are unresponsive, we drove 2.5 hours for closing only to be told by the closing agent that the documents were not sent by the lender and we would try again the next day. The managers will respond when they want to communicate with you, however, when things are delayed (like getting the appraisal report after 30 days), they do not follow through and will not communicate with the customer. The communication was great. The process was simplified and I did not have to worry about anything. The entire experience was easy and fantastic!
My loan officer was excellent. The loan processor performed OK, but with a few missteps which were ultimately resolved. My loan closed on time with no issues. After the closing, however, a problem arise with a property tax payment which was supposed to be paid at closing. I spent 10 days and multiple phone calls trying to resolve the issue. I was bounced around among the Loan Depot tax, customer service, and escrow departments. Everyone was polite and professional, but nobody followed up on anything.
